Poet Ibrahim Mohammad Ibrahim was born in Dubai in 1961 where he completed his study, then he obtained a bachelor's degree of Arabic Language from the Faculty of Arts, Beirut Arab University. He started writing poetry at an early age, has started publishing his poems in newspapers and magazines since 1980, and is considered a young poet who made jumps in time as he managed, through mastering his tools and his wide knowledge, to have a firm footing on the map of Arab poets. Poet Ibrahim Mohammad worked in various institutions and he volunteered in several cultural establishments, including: Heading the Cultural Committee in Emirates Writers Union for two terms, heading the Cultural Committee of Dubai's Youth Sports Club, heading the Cultural and Literary Committees of the Arab Cultural Club, a member of Emirates Writers Union and Arab Writers Association and took part in juries of several literary competitions. He took part in many poetic festivals and gathering in UAE and other countries all over the world. He gained admiration -and was a master- in composing both classical and prose poetry. His rich vocabulary enabled him to choose accurate words. He has been preoccupied with the issues of his homeland and nation with a conscious philosophical thinking, resorting sometimes to Sufism. He has built a web site to follow up the literary movement called Awtad, which was a pioneering web site. He released several poetical works: "Paper Awakening", "Salt Corruption", "This is Some News of Birds", "Way to Hilltop" and "At City Gate".
Therefore, he , worthily and excellently, deserved the Emirates Appreciation Award for Arts, branch of Poetry, in its fourth session.
